About Me:

I am a former New Yorker who favors jeans and t-shirts over slacks and a button-down shirt as my office attire. The environment here is created to be more like a living room than a "treatment room". It is a come as you are, bring your coffee (or drink of choice), kick off your shoes and chat setting. We are a team and approach anything that you share and want to work on together. We identify your goals and the path by which you will achieve them. There will be humor and movie quotes sprinkled into our sessions, but there will also be an open, caring and nonjudgmental ear for you to share the things you have been holding on to or to share the things that are weighing you down. At the end of our time together I want you to be more confident in yourself, to have the coping skills to handle anything that may come your way, to know who you are, and to have learned to love your story.

My Specialty:

My life has been affected by cancer, as a family member, as a friend and as a patient/survivor. I have seen and felt the effects of this disease on the individual diagnosed, on their loved ones and on their lives in general. My goal is to make mental health treatment available and affordable for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Please email me at archercounseling@gmail.com to find out more, to answer any of your questions and to see how I can assist you.

Rates & Methods of Payment:

I accept cash, check, money order and all major credit cards (including HSA).

I also accept the following insurance plans (please contact your insurance company for an authorization number and to verify your benefits):

Mutual of Omaha EAP

United Behavioral Health

Hourly Rates:

Cancer Patients/Survivors - Reduced Fee $50.00

Immediate Family Members (partner, spouse, parents, siblings) - Reduced Fee $75.00

Couples/Family Sessions - Reduced Fee $100.00

My Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, Behavioral Science/Psychology Concentration (New York Institute of Technology)

  • Master of Science, Counseling Psychology (Palm Beach Atlantic University)

  • Doctorate of Education, Pastoral Community Counseling (Argosy University)

I stay current on topics and trends in the areas of my specialties (and treatment modalities) through continuing education, research, reading, and consulting with other professionals in my field.

I have been working as a mental health therapist since 2009 in a variety of settings, including a Children's Advocacy Center, a residential treatment center for "at-risk" youth, and several private practices. I have learned from and been mentored by some of the best and brightest mental health professionals in Central Florida.
